Hunt Homers, Pittsfield Cruises to Western Mass Semis

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Allie Hunt went 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs batted in Thursday to lead the Pittsfield softball team to a 15-1 win over Chicopee Comp in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Division 1 tournament.

 

Emily Koldys went 3-for-4 at the plate and allowed just three hits and one walk in the circle for the second-seeded Generals (20-1).

 

Abby Santos and Brittney Perkett each contributed a pair of hits. Santos and Toni Satrape each had a triple.

 

Pittsfield will face No. 3 Agawam (16-5) in the sectional semi-finals on Wednesday, June 8, at the University of Massachusetts. Agawam on Thursday defeated East Longmeadow, 6-0.
