Wahconah Gets 'Team Win' Against Mount Greylock

Brooke Thomas and Mia Thomas each scored a pair of goals, as Wahconah beat the Mounties for the first time since June 2021.
“Fantastic team effort,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “Our defense was solid and their amazing effort led to great offensive opportunities.
“We had some great assisted goals tonight. The girls are really looking for each other. A complete team win, so happy for the girls. They’ve been working hard. We saw players make mistakes and recover to make a positive contribution to the success which helped lead us to this win.”
Anna Doyle had a goal and an assist, and Teaghan Galeucia scored a goal in the win.
Phaylyn Renderer stopped four shots to earn the win in goal.
Mount Greylock was led by Reese Raymond with five goals. Adele Lowe had two goals and an assist, and Molly Cangelosi had a goal and two assists in the loss.
Teigan Brady stopped nine shots for the Mounties (1-4), who go to South Hadley on Thursday.
Wahconah (2-2) is at Belchertown on Friday.
