Benoit Tosses One-Hitter for Pittsfield Baseball

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Ian Benoit struck out seven and allowed just one hit Wednesday in a 7-1 win over Wahconah.

 

Benoit walked just one and allowed only an unearned run in leading the Generals to their sixth win in seven games.

 

At the plate, he went 2-for-3 with a triple, a double and five runs batted in.

 

Carter Matthews and Marco Dinicola each drove in a run for Pittsfield (10-7).

 

Wahconah’s Anthony Dondiego went 1-for-3 and scored a run.

 

Wahconah (6-8) goes to Holy Name on Friday.

 

Pittsfield goes to Taconic on Thursday.
