Taconic Golfers Qualify for Western Mass

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Mitch Hall carded 1-over round of 36 Friday to lead the Taconic golf team to a 160-179 win over Mount Everett at Berkshire Hills Country Club.
 
Hall birdied the par-5 fourth hole on his way to earning medalist honors, and the Thunder clinched a berth in the Western Massachusetts Division 1 tournament for the second straight year with the win.
 
“One of our best scores on the year today too,” Taconic coach Matt Capeless said. “Happy for our seniors that got a chance to play today. Perfect fall weather out at Berkshire Hills.”
 
Jason Fields finished at 38 for the Thunder. Kyle Krzysztof birdied No. 4 on his way to a 47.
 
Levi Martin led Mount Everett with a 41.
 
Hall, Fields and Gavin Maffuccio will represent Taconic on Sunday in the 18-hole Berkshire Classic at the Country Club of Pittsfield.
 
Simon Fife will carry Mount Everett’s colors into the individual event.
