Local Soccer Players Help Team Win All-Star Game

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Girls from three local rivals teamed up Monday to help their squad win at the Western Mass Soccer Coaches Association’s Senior All-Star games at Pope Francis.

 

Lenox’s Ella Hall and Aliza Munch, Mount Everett’s Emily Steuernagle and Allison Steuernagle and Mount Greylock’s Lucy McWeeny and Lily McWeeny all played on the White team, which earned a win over the Red squad in the season-ending event.

 

They were among 40 players from throughout the region to participate in the Class C/D game, which was followed by a Class A/B game on Monday evening.

 

On Tuesday, the top senior boys in District 1 take the field for a pair of all-star games, again at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
