Mendez, Matthews Score as Pittsfield Boys Earn Key Win

WILBRAHAM, Mass. -- Cristian Mendez and Carter Matthews scored first-half goals, and Avi Snowise backstopped the Pittsfield boys soccer team to a 2-1 win at Minnechaug on Wednesday

 

“This was a big win today which puts us in good position to make the tournament,” Pittsfield coach Andrew Antil said. “It was definitely a battle of each team imposing two different styles of play.”

 

Pittsfield (7-5-2) hosts Lenox on Friday at Kirvin Park.
