Lenox Blood Drive to Support Local Hospitals

LENOX, Mass. — A community blood drive will be held at St. Ann's Church on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., hosted by the Lenox Police and Berkshire Health Systems (BHS).

Donations collected by the BHS Blood Donor Center will be used locally at Berkshire Medical Center, the Phelps Cancer Center, the North Campus of BMC, and Fairview Hospital.

Housatonic Street Closure Scheduled for April 8 in Lenox

LENOX, Mass.—Housatonic Street will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, April 8, from 7:00 AM for approximately 10 hours.

The closure, affecting the section of Housatonic Street between the Bypass and East Street, is to allow Rifenburg Construction to install conduit for the Public Safety Complex project.

Traffic access to locations east of Caligari Hardware will be rerouted via Walker Street to East Street. The southbound left-turn lane on the Bypass will also be closed during this period.

Alternate routes are advised. Police officers will be present to manage traffic flow and provide assistance.
