Maura Healey was sworn in on Thursday morning as the 73rd governor of Massachusetts and vowed to address the challenges in competitiveness, free community college, environmental and climate issues, housing and child care.
Attendees will be able to take part in the celebration of one of the first all-women state leadership team, and the first lesbian Governor in the country. The program will include guest speakers, music, and activities.
The Jan 5 inauguration will mark the first time an all-women ticket is sworn in to lead a state in American history, and make Healey the first lesbian Governor in the country.
