Brown Leads Monument Boys Past Belchertown

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Manny Brown Tuesday scored 31 points to lead the Monument Mountain boys basketball team to an 80-65 win over Belchertown.
 
Brown made three 3-pointers and had 20 points at half-time for the Spartans, who took a 46-33 lead into the locker-room.
 
“Dom Calautti was a huge factor inside tonight with 14 points, 11 rebounds and eight blocks,” Monument Mountain coach Randy Koldys said. “Griffin McElroy chipped in with 13 points along with Isaiah Keefner and [Christian] Sparky Blanchard getting eight points a piece.”
 
Monument Mountain improved to 9-1 heading into Friday’s home game against Easthampton, when the Spartans can clinch a berth in the State Tournament.
