Monument Mountain Wins at Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. – Manny Brown scored 19 points to lead four Spartans in double figures Wednesday as the Monument Mountain boys basketball team beat Wahconah, 81-56.

 

Brown hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored nine points in the first quarter, when Monument Mountain built a 26-11 lead.

 

He scored eight more in the second quarter to help his club take a 47-25 lead into the locker room.

 

Dom Calautti scored 17 points. Christian Blanchard had 14, and Griffin McElroy hit four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points.

 

For Wahconah, Jack DuCharme, Evan Alfonso and Sam McLaughlin each scored 12 points.

 

Wahconah (3-9) hosts Drury on Friday.

 

The Spartans (12-1) are at Southwick on Friday.
