Lenox Rallies for Walk-Off Win Over Drury
LENOX, Mass. -- One day after keeping its playoff hopes alive with a walkoff hit, the Drury baseball team saw those hopes dashed the same way.
Lenox's Pat Colvin hit a two-out single to drive in Luke Murphy and give the Millionaires an 7-6 win over the Blue Devils on Thursday.
The loss was Drury's 11th, which mathematically eliminates the Blue Devils from consideration for the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament.
Murphy went 5-for-5 and scored four times. Colvin was 3-for-4, Noah Hunter was 4-for-4 with a double, and Jack Ellrodt went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple for Lenox.
For Drury, Logan Rumbolt went 2-for-3 with a home run, and Thaylen Harrison went 2-for-3 with a triple and a double.
Ryan Dubie and Kody Crosier combined to strike out four for the Blue Devils.
Mike Hurley and Tyler Coon combined for the win for Lenox.
Drury (7-11) goes to Monument Mountain on Friday. Lenox (13-5) hosts Pittsfield on Saturday.
