Mount Everett Blanks Lee in Opener

“It was a good start to the season,” Mount Everett coach Dan Lanoue said. “We had some timely hitting and some good pitching. Sean Warren went four strong innings and Cam Coon went one inning.”
Warren struck out eight and walked one before giving the ball to Coon, who struck out the side in the fifth to finish the combined no-hitter.
Brady Carpenter went 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs, and Sean Warren was 2-for-2 with four RBIs in an eight-hit attack for the Eagles.
Ben Kelly struck out 10 in 3 and two-thirds innings of work for Lee (0-1), which hosts Drury on Thursday.
Mount Everett (1-0) hosts McCann Tech on Friday.
