DRURY, Mass. – Nick Lescarbeau threw a complete game shutout, and Logan Crockwell hit a solo home run Sunday to lead the Drury baseball team to a 1-0 win over Lenox in the Division 5 State Tournament Round of 32.

Lescarbeau struck out eight, walked none and scattered five hits in improving to 6-2 and lowering his earned run average to 2.00.

Crockwell broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the fourth with two out when he hit a 2-1 pitch to left field for the game-winning round-tripper.

Lenox answered by getting two runners on in the top of the fifth, but Lescarbeau ended the inning by getting a pop up in foul territory to catcher Julian Feliciano.

In the sixth, Zach Nicotra led off with a double for the Millionaires, but Lescarbeau left him at second by getting a strikeout, a line drive to center fielder Steven Cornell and a groundout.

Lescarbeau then finished the game by striking out the side in order in the seventh.

Mason Abdalla went 2-for-2 to lead Lenox. Max Shepardson ended up being the hard-luck loser, striking out four, walking two and allowing just four hits.

In addition to Crockwell’s homer, Cornell, Noah Arnold and J.J. Prenguber each had a hit for Drury.

The 13th-seeded Blue Devils (16-5) advance to the tournament’s Round of 16 and will face the winner of Monday’s game between No. 4 Hopedale (15-5) and Blue Hills Regional Valley Tech (7-12).
