Lenox's Culver Second in 2-Mile Run at State Meet

NORWELL, Mass. – Lenox’s Alice Culver placed second in the 2-mile run on the first day of the Division 5 Track and Field State Championships at Norwell High School on Thursday.

 

Culver ran a time of 11 minutes, 20.26 seconds, about 3.5 seconds behind winner Olivia Jackson of Weston (11:16.22).

 

In the boys 2-mile, the Millionaires got points from Dennis Love and Max Adam, who placed third and seventh, respectively.

 

Lenox’s boys also earned a team point from Ian Bridges with an eighth-place finish in the triple jump.

 

Pittsfield High’s boys and girls also are competing at the D5 state meet, which concludes on Saturday.
