Pittsfield Boys Advance in Western Mass Tourney

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Adam Quinto earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles Monday to lead the Pittsfield boys tennis team to a 5-0 win over Chicopee in the first round of the Western Massachusetts Division 1 tournament.

 

Brian Lavinio and Cole Masiero each won his singles match in straight sets.

 

At first doubles, Liam Fitzgibbons and Tom Rindfuss won, 6-1, 6-4. Andrew King and Gary Zheng won at No. 2 doubles, 6-2, 6-1.

 

Pittsfield Wednesday goes to Longmeadow to face the top-seeded Lancers (14-1) in the sectional quarter-finals.
