Belchertown Hockey Edges Mount Everett

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Christopher Buffone had a goal and an assist for Belchertown, which ruined senior night for the Mount Everett hockey team with a 3-1 win at the Berkshire School on Saturday night.

 

After a scoreless first period, James Greene and Buffone scored for the Orioles.

 

Cam Raifstanger scored an unassisted goal with 5 minutes, 41 seconds left in the third to get the Eagles within one.

 

But Francis Henderson added an insurance goal for Belchertown two minutes later.

 

Cole Duval stopped 22 shots for Mount Everett, which outshot the Orioles by a margin of 27-25.
