East Bridgewater Stops Wahconah in State Volleyball Tournament

EAST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The East Bridgewater volleyball team bounced back from a first-set loss to earn a four-set win over Wahconah in the Division 4 State Tournament.
 
The 17-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-11 loss snapped a six-match winning streak for Wahconah and sends seventh-seeded East Bridgewater (15-5) into the state quarter-finals at Ipswich on Friday.
 
Megan O’Bryan led Wahconah with 12 kills and pulled up three digs in the loss.
 
Eve Colombari passed out 22 assists, and Olivia Carr-Cole had a team-high nine digs.
 
Emma Jacinto served a team-high eight aces and put down three kills for Wahconah.
 
Wahconah finishes the year with a record of 15-8 and a Western Massachusetts Class B Championship.
