Pittsfield Girls Win Second Straight over Hoosac
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Hannah Dargie, Molly Tierney and Ilana Albert each had a goal and an assist to lead the Pittsfield girls soccer team to a 4-1 win over Hoosac Valley on Wednesday.
On Monday, the Generals handed Hoosac a 4-2 loss in Cheshire.
Dargie started the scoring with a goal in the fifth minute on a cross from Tierney. Early in the second half, Julie Eline Wright gave the Generals a 2-0 lead when she converted Dargie's assist on a corner kick.
Claudia Bresset scored unassisted to get the Hurricanes on the board moments later.
But PHS got goals from Tierney and Ilana Albert in the 30th minute to put the game away.
Allie Hunt made five saves for Pittsfield (8-1), which travels to meet Mount Greylock on Friday.
Hoosac keeper Kailynne Frederick made eight saves before leaving the game after a colision in the box late in the first half. Kelsey Bulson made six stops after coming off the bench.
The Hurricanes (2-6-1) host Lee on Friday.
