Hoosac Valley Downs Mount Everett

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Gracelyn Wright allowed one earned run, and the Hoosac Valley softball team worked 21 walks on Tuesday to earn a 20-2 win over Mount Everett.
 
Genevieve Lagess and Izabela Tart each went 1-for-3 with four walks and scored four times for the Hurricanes, who jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first inning and ended the game after five.
 
Wright struck out five, walked six and scattered four hits to earn the win in the circle.
 
Stella Lennex had one of those hits, a double, for Mount Everett, which got an RBI from Emily Gilmore.
 
The Eagles (2-3) visit North County to play McCann Tech on Thursday.
 
Hoosac Valley (5-0) is at Drury on Thursday.
