Lemire Lifts McCann Boys to First Win

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Steve Lemire scored twice Thursday to provide McCann’s first goals of the season as the Hornets beat Smith Voc, 2-0.

 

In the first half, Lemire scored on a through ball from Josh Favre. After the break, Lemire converted a penalty kick after he was taken down in the 18.

 

Nico Moreno made eight saves to earn the shutout win, including some key stops in the second half to preserve the lead.

 

McCann Tech (1-1-1) hosts Pioneer Valley Christian on Tuesday.
