Lynne F. Wlodyka, 59
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Lynne F. Wlodyka, 59, of North Adams died on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Boston Medical Center surrounded by family.
Lynne was born on August 28, 1958, in Pittsfield, Mass. She was the daughter of Dorothy (Cole) Haskell and the late William Haskell. She attended North Adams Schools and graduated from Drury High School in 1976 with her high school sweetheart Stanley Wlodyka, whom she married August 18, 1978. Lynne went to Southwest Nursing School in Bennington, Vt., receiving her LPN certificate in 1985.
She attended First Baptist Church in North Adams and loved going to casinos and bingo in Vermont. She worked 25 years at the North Adams Hospital, retiring in 2010.
Lynne is survived her mother Dorothy Haskins; her husband of 39 years, Stanley Wlodyka; two sons, Jeffrey Wlodyka and his wife Renee of Cheshire and Jonathan Richard of North Adams; three sisters, Laurie Gancarz of North Adams, Lisa Haskell of North Adams and Leslie Teal and her husband Dean of Berlin, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Kiley, Jeffrey, Korben, Noah and Elaina; and several nieces and nephews.
Lynne was a friend to everyone; her grandchildren were the joy of her life, as well as her cat Beanie and her two stuffed animals, Barry the Bear and Co-Co the monkey. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to everyone at the Pittsfield and North Adams Renal Dialysis centers.
Funeral notice: The funeral for Lynne Wlodyka will be on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Baptist Church in Cheshire, Mass. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, from 4-7 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. Memorial donations are suggested for F.O.R.D at BMC through the funeral home.
