Hampshire Girls Basketball Downs Monument Mountain

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Julianne Moro scored 16 points Friday to lead the Hampshire girls basketball team to a 62-26 win over Monument Mountain.
 
Alex Tenney led the Spartans with 11.
 
Monument Mountain led early but Hampshire turned up the defense in the second half, holding the hosts to just eight points after half-time after leading, 28-18, at intermission.
 
Caroline Becker added four points in the loss.
 
Monument Mountain (0-5) goes to Westhampton for a rematch against Hampshire on Wednesday.
