Wigington, Wahconah Wallop West Side

DALTON, Mass. -- Grace Wigington scored 23 points Wednesday to lead the Wahconah girls basketball team to a 53-30 win over West Springfield.

 

Wigington connected five times from behind the 3-point arc and ran her season scoring average to 17.6 points per gme.

 

Olivia Gamberoni scored 17 points in the win.

 

Wahconah outscored West Side, 14-4, in the first quarter and never looked back in running its record to 6-1.

 

Hailey Peabody scored 13 points to lead the Terriers.

 

Wahconah takes a six-game winning streak into Monday's home game against Taconic.
