Athlete of the Week: Emily Rosse
Hoosac Valley freshman forward Emily Rosse captured the attention of Berkshire County basketball fans by setting new career highs in points in consecutive games as the Hurricanes responded with three stright wins after a string of three consecutive losses.Last Thursday, Rosse went for career-high 24 points and a career-high 24 rebounds in a blowout win over Monument Mountain.
She followed that up with a career-high 42 points and 22 rebounds in a 37-point win over Mount Everett on Tuesday, single handily outscoring the entire Eagles team all by herself. She finished the week off by netting a game-high 16 points and 10 boards in a 30-point win over St. Joe's on Friday.
Rosse has been playing like an absolute beast this season as she iss averaging a double-double with 14.4 points per game and 11.8 rebounds per game. With the stats she is putting up right now as a freshman it will be very exciting to see her play as she matures and continues to refine her game.
