McCann Tech Girls Finish With Comeback Win

CHICOPEE, Mass. -- Allie Gibeau scored 16 points, including seven in the decisive fourth quarter as the McCann Tech girls basketball team came from behind for a 42-41 win over Pope Francis in the Hornets’ season finale.

 

“It was a great way to end the season with an exciting game,” McCann Tech coach Kathy Budaj said. “We have been playing some good basketball and have not been able to pull out the win. Tonight we did.

 

“I'm happy for the seniors to end on such a positive note because they have really worked hard all season.”

 

Aimee Dowling scored nine points, and Michael Malloy added seven for the Hornets (8-12), who finished the year 3-3 in their last six games.
