'Unselfish Play' Lifts Monument Mountain Past Belchertown

Before the game, Carlson was joined at center court for a brief ceremony alongside Jason Ross, whose school scoring record of 1,099 points Carlson beat on Dec. 27.
Coming off the emotion of that moment, the Spartans stormed out to a 33-4 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.
Sebastian Guete-Ramirez scored eight points, and Isaiah Keefner and Griffin McElroy added six points apiece.
In all, 11 Spartans made a mark in the scorebook.
“It was a combination of great defense and a continuation of very unselfish play that has been a very nice recipe to help the Spartans go 8-0,” Monument Mountain coach Randy Koldys said.
The Spartans look to stay unbeaten on Thursday when they head to Easthampton.
