Cardoso Leads Generals Past Wahconah in OT

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Kyle Cardoso scored 27 points, including all six of Pittsfield’s points in overtime in a 63-60 win over Wahconah on Friday night.
 
Cardoso hit two of his seven 3-pointers in the four-minute OT session as the Generals qualified for the Division 3 State Tournament with their 10th win.
 
After falling into a 17-6 hole after one quarter, the Generals climbed back, outscoring Wahconah by five in the second and five in the third. 
 
Cardoso then scored nine in the fourth quarter to help send the game to overtime.
 
Freddy Conyers scored 10 points, and Bri’Awn Thompson added eight in the win.
 
Four players finished in double figures for Wahconah.
 
Jack DuCharme and Sam McLaughlin led the way with 15 points.
 
Evan Alfonso scored 14, and Aidan Hagmaier added 12.
 
Wahconah (5-10) hosts Taconic on Tuesday.
 
Pittsfield (10-6) goes to West Springfield on Tuesday.
