Taconic Boys Top Drury

NORTH ADAMS -- A rough second quarter proved the Drury High School boys basketball team's undoing in a 56-45 loss to Taconic on Tuesday night.

 

Taconic (12-5) outscored the Blue Devils (5-12), 15-4, in the second to break open a 10-10 game.

 

After half-time, Drury matched the visitors, 31-31, but could not cut into the deficit.

 

Justin Girard scored 10 points for Drury, which also got nine from Alex Heck. Kareen Beckett pulled down a team-high seven rebounds for the Devils.

 

Drury travels to face Wahconah on Thursday night.
