Bond, Blue Devils Down Ware in Western Mass Semis

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Jorge Bond scored 27 points, and three Drury Blue Devils recorded a double-double Thursday in a 55-44 win over Ware in the Western Massachusetts Class C semi-finals.

 

Bond finished with 10 rebounds to go with his 27 points -- 12 of which came on 3-pointers.

 

Sam Moorman scored 12 points and had a team-high 16 boards to go with five blocked shots.

 

Connor Hinkell finished with 10 points and 10 boards.

 

Drury put the game out of reach with an 18-11 third-quarter to open up a 44-32 lead.

 

The Blue Devils (15-5) move on to Saturday's Western Mass final against Granby, scheduled for 2 p.m. at Westfield High School.
