Pou, Pittsfield Pound Monson

MONSON, Mass. – Amanda Pou went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs Wednesday to lead the Pittsfield softball team to an 18-5 win over Monson.

 

The Generals racked up seven extra-base hits, including triples from Ella Bassi (2-for-4) and Isabella MacDonald.

 

In all, Pittsfield generated 15 hits.

 

It put the game out of reach late, scoring eight in the top of the fifth to go up, 11-5, and six in the top of the seventh.

 

Bassi and Pou split time in the circle, combining to strike out nine and allow three earned runs.

 

Pittsfield (7-2) hosts South Hadley on Friday.
