Wahconah Softball Wraps Up League Title

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Avery Vale-Cruz struck out 11 and allowed just two hits Thursday to lead the Wahconah softball team to a 17-0, five-inning win over Mount Greylock that clinched a solo Berkshire County North Division title for Wahconah.

 

Kaitlyn Olds went 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of runs batted in, and Kaylee O’Bryan was 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Olivia Iovieno tripled, and Elena Iovieno doubled in a 10-hit Wahconah attack.

 

Brodi Rosier and Abby Whitley each had a single for Mount Greylock.

 

The Mounties (8-3) host Hoosac Valley on Monday.

 

Wahconah (10-1) goes to Lee on Monday.
