Senior Barry Leads Wahocnah to Senior Night Win

DALTON, Mass. – Wahconah senior Dani Barry went 3-for-4 with a double on Senior Night Thursday to lead the softball team to a 17-5 win over Monson.

 

Barry drove in four runs in the six-inning victory.

 

Sammie Kaley, Edrie Collins and Hannah Talora each had a pair of hits in 15-hit attack for Wahconah, which took control with an 11-run third inning to erase a 5-0 deficit.

 

Talora, also a senior, doubled, and classmate Elena Iovieno had a pair of hits.

 

Kaley got the win in the circle, striking out five and allowing just one earned run in five innings of work.

 

Wahconah (9-9) waits to hear who it will face in the quarter-finals of the Western Mass tournament next week.
