Dorwin Leads McCann Tech Softball to Win

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Sam Dorwin went 3-for-4 with three RBIs to lead the McCann Tech softball team to a 15-3 win over Holyoke Catholic on Tuesday.

 

Haley Malloy struck out four in five innings and walked just two for the Hornets, who improved to 9-5 on the season.

 

Cheyenne Alcombright was 1-for-2 with a double, two stolen bases and three runs scored. Kayla Martin scored four runs and stole two bases.

 

McCann Tech put the game away with a nine-run fifth inning to end the game by the mercy rule.

 

The Hornets will look to qualify for Western Mass on Wednesday at home against Smith Academy.
