Athlete of the Week: Katie Hancock

The Drury Blue Devils first-year player, Katie Hancock, helped lead her team to a 2-1 record last week, including wins Monument Mountain and rival Hoosac Valley.

She started off the week by going 1-for-3 with an RBI in a 2-0 win over the Hurricanes.  She followed that up by going 1-for-3 again in a narrow 3-2 loss to Mount Everett.

Hancock ended the week with a bang, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in her team's 11-4 victory over Monument.

On the year, the junior third baseman has been a major contributor in the Devil's starting the season at 6-1.  She is currently second on the team with a .565 average and leads the team in hits (13), runs (13), and RBIs (10).
