Monument Boys Lacrosse Opens with Win

CASTLETON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Monument Mountain scored with just less than two minutes on the clock Saturday to secure a 9-8, season-opening victory over Maple Hill.

 

Jake Parkinson scored a goal and assisted on three others, and three Spartans scored two goals apiece: Connor Parkinson, Joe Labrasca and Homer Winston.

 

Jonah Swotes stopped nine shots in the Monument Mountain goal. Jack Gibbson made one save.
