Seekonk Knocks Out McCann Tech

SEEKONK, Mass. – The Seekonk boys lacrosse team Saturday topped McCann Tech, 11-1, in the preliminary round of the Division 4 State Tournament.

 

Colby Marko scored the Hornets’ goal with an assist from Parker Hart.

 

McCann Tech got 15 saves from Brody Rhinemiller in the loss.

 

“Our kids worked hard today,” McCann Tech coach Marshall Maxwell said. “We just couldn’t get going offensively. Deep in the fourth quarter, the score was 7-1, and that was due to the phenomenal saves by Brody Rhinemiller. He single-handedly kept us in the game.

 

“We thank our seniors for their collective leadership and look forward to next season.”

 

McCann Tech finishes the season with a record of 9-9, including an appearance in the Western Massachusetts championship game.
