LaPierre Doubles for Pittsfield in Win at Hoosac Valley

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Ryan LaPierre went 2-for-3 with a double, and Hunter Potash struck out five in four scoreless innings to get the win on the mound Monday as Pittsfield beat Hoosac Valley, 7-2.

 

Carter Matthews was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Potash helped his cause with a pair of RBIs for Pittsfield, which went up 7-0 after the third inning.

 

Matthews threw a pair of innings in relief, and LaPierre finished up with a hitless seventh inning.

 

Ryan Audet doubled in a five-hit attack for Hoosac Valley.

 

The Hurricanes (2-4) hosts Mohawk on Wednesday.

 

Pittsfield (7-0) goes to Lenox on Tuesday.
