WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Dan Flynn's suicide squeeze with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the Mount Greylock baseball team a 1-0 win over Hoosac Valley on Friday afternoon.

Flynn scored Delaney Pudvar, who reached on a one-out single.

Michael Strizzi drew a walk and Eric Hirsch singled to load the bases for Flynn, who also had a sac bunt to move a runner to second in the bottom of the fifth.

Scoring chances were hard to come by in this one.

Mount Greylock's Ian Brink earned the win with five strikeouts. He stranded five runners and left men on second base in the sixth and seventh.

In the sixth, he had runners at second and third with two outs but got a line drive to Flynn at second to end the threat.

In the seventh, Hoosac (0-1) got a one-out walk from Justin Nichols, and he moved up on a bunt by Joey Buonemani, but Brink got the next man to ground out to shortstop Ryan Wadsworth.

Nichols was just as efficient for Hoosac, striking out six and allowing three hits going into the seventh.

Mount Greylock (2-1) hosts Mount Everett on Tuesday.

Hoosac Valley travels to Monument Mountain on Monday.
