Womble Homers Twice as Taconic Tops Hoosac Valley

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Christian Womble homered twice and drove in three runs to lead the Taconic baseball team to a 13-2 win over Hoosac Valley on Saturday.

 

Leo Arace was 3-for-3 with a triple, a double and three RBIs,and Anton Lazits and Brendan Stannard each went 3-for-4 with a double.

 

Lazitz also earned the win on the mound, striking out nine and allowing one earned run in six innings of work. Nick Taylor finished up in the seventh.

 

Luc Trombley went 3-for-4, and Cole Desroches was 2-for-3 for Hoosac Valley (10-9), which goes to North Adams to face Drury on Monday.

 

Taconic (17-1) hosts Pittsfield on Sunday.
