Hopkins Academy Baseball Comes Back on McCann Tech

HADLEY, Mass. – The Hopkins Academy baseball team Monday scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to erase a 2-0 McCann Tech lead and went on to a 6-3 win in the Division 5 State Tournament Round of 32.

 

Hopkins’ Cody West went 2-for-3 to pace his team’s offense and pitched two innings of relief to save the victory for Liam Flynn.

 

Austin Buda went 2-for-3 with a double and scored twice for McCann Tech, which got a pair of hits from Aaron Livsey.

 

Livsey went 4-? innings on the mound, striking out five. Lukas Rylander struck out a pair in 1-? innings of relief.

 

McCann Tech finishes the season with a record of 12-9.
