Buffis Pitches Mounties Past Lee
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Ian Brink went 2-for-2 with two runs scored, and Robby Buffis struck out eight to lead the Mount Greylock baseball team to a 9-4 win over Lee on Thursday afternoon.
Leadoff man Jack Thistle scored three runs, and Dan Flynn doubled and scored a run for the Mounties (6-1).
Mount Greylock led 4-2 going to the bottom of the sixth but batted around to open up a seven-run lead.
Brink, Nick DiSanti and Jake Benzinger each singled and Flynn doubled in the rally.
Heamon Williams went 1-for-4 with two runs scored, and John Graziano tripled for the Wildcats.
Mount Greylock hosts Pittsfield on Friday.
