Lenox Boys Top Mount Greylock
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Rocco Piretti and Jack O’Brien earned straight set wins at first and second singles Friday to lead the Lenox boys tennis team to a 4-1 win over Mount Greylock.
At No. 3 singles, the Mounties’ Max Wied earned his first victory of the season in his first time playing singles.
The Lenox-Mount Greylock girls match was suspended due to darkness with the first doubles match tied, one set apiece when the players lost daylight.
The girls match is tied, 2-2, when that doubles match resumes on Wednesday, when the Mounties head to Lenox for the third match of the season between the teams.
Mount Greylock’s Mai O’Connor and Mia Patrick earned wins at first and second singles, respectively.
Lenox’s Georgia Raser earned a three-set win at third singles.
Lenox goes to Mount Everett on Monday.
Mount Greylock is at Monument Mountain on Monday.
