Curry Leads Pittsfield Girls Lax Past Hoosac

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Lauren Curry scored three goals to lead the Pittsfield girls lacrosse team to a 13-3 win over Hoosac Valley on Monday.

 

Alex Zuber, Shea Hassett, Jackie Salvie and Makenzie Astore each scored a pair of goals for the Generals.

Haley Milney made four saves in the Pittsfield goal.

 

"We struggled defensively today putting pressure on their attacks and PHS did a good job of finding open lanes," Hoosac coach Molly Meczywor said. "We continue to grow in many areas of the game  and our young players -- grades 7 and 8 -- are really starting to get more involved and display confidence."

 

Holly Cadren scored twice, and Audrey Johnson had a goal for the Hurricanes, who got 15 saves from Kelsey Holsey.
