Three County Wrestlers Medal at All-State Meet

METHUEN, Mass. -- Mount Greylock's Jacob Borawski placed sixth at this weekend's All-State Wrestling Tournament at Methuen High School.
 
Borawski was the last Berkshire County wrestler in the championship draw, bowing out on Saturday 10-4 loss to Sharon's Cyrus Jones in the 175-pound semi-finals.
 
Borawski then dropped a pair of decisions in the consolation bracket.
 
Mount Everett's Diego Cruz and Monument Mountain's Sam St. Peter also medaled.
 
Cruz claimed seventh place in the 113 weight class.
 
Cruz went 3-2 in the two-day tournament, ending his day Saturday with a 19-2 tehcnical fall against Framingham's Izaiah Brown in the seventh-place bout.
 
St. Peter was seventh at 285 after also going 3-2. He claimed his medal with a 3-0 win over North Attleborough's Cody Hill in the seventh-place match.
 
Mount Everett and Mount Greylock finished tied for 44th place at the meet with 17 points apiece.
 
Monument Mountain placed 61st at the meet, which includes teams from all three of the state's divisions.
