ADAMS, Mass. -- Henry Sniezek and Luc Trombley led the way with rounds of 36 and 37, respectively, Friday as the Hoosac Valley golf team defeated Mount Greylock, 163-176, at Forest Park Country Club.

“Great rounds from my team,” Hurricanes coach Jay Sniezek said. “Luc Trombley has his best round of his career. I’m very happy for him. We are playing great as a team right now. Greylock has nice talent as well and I’m sure will play tough on their course next time we see them.”

Five of the six Mounties finished at 46 or better.

Brayden Smith led Mount Greylock with a 43. Paul Roeder and Owen Petropulos each carded a 44, and Alexander Axt came in at 45. Caydon Conry had a 46 but did not figure in the scoring for Mount Greylock.

Sniezek and Trombley each had a birdie for Hoosac Valley, which scored a 42 from Corben Craig and 48s from Colby Rougeau and Justyn Cowell.

Mount Greylock hosts Monument Mountain on Tuesday while Hoosac Valley goes north of the state line to play in a tournament at Mount Anthony Country Club in Bennington, Vt.
