Pittsfield Boys, Girls Top Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Joseph Kearns and David Bernal each took a pair of events Friday to lead the Pittsfield High swim team to a 56-52 win over Taconic at the Berkshire Family YMCA.

 

Kearns won the 50-meter freestyle and 100 backstroke.

 

Bernal touched first in the 200 individual medley and 500 free.

 

Both also swam legs on Pittsfield’s winning relays, the medley relay to open the meet and the 200 free.

 

Alec Ginsberg won the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley for the Thunder.

 

In the girls meet, Maggie Vittum and Ari Berard each was a double-winner to lead Pittsfield past Taconic, 105-49.

 

Vittum won the 50 free and 100 backstroke. Berard took first in the 200 free and 500 free.
