Schuerer Leads Lee with Triple Double

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- MaKayla Schuerer had a triple double Friday to lead the Lee volleyball team to a three-set win over Franklin Tech in the first round of the Division 5 State Tournament.

 

Schuerer recorded 15 assists, 10 aces and 10 digs in the 25-22, 25-21, 25-18 win.

 

Annie Herman had seven kills.

 

Karalynn Hopkins pulled up 21 digs to go with four kills and three aces.

 

Ninth-seeded Lee (12-9) moves on to the Round of 16 to face the winner of Saturday's match between Douglas and Mohawk Trail.
