Turners Falls Tops Lee Volleyball in Semi-Finals

MONTAGUE, Mass. – The Turners Falls volleyball team Friday earned a three-set win over Lee in the semi-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class D tournament.

 

The Thunder advanced to Sunday’s championship game against Mount Greylock, a three-set winner over Mohawk Trail on Friday, by scores of 25-18, 25-9 and 25-15.

 

MaKayla Schuerer had four kills, five digs and three assists for the Wildcats, who got 12 digs from Autumn Schwab and 10 digs from Juliana Schuerer.

 

Turners Falls and Mount Greylock will meet at noon on Sunday at West Springfield High School for the regional title.

 

Lee (11-9) will learn Monday where and against whom it will begin play in the Division 5 state tournament.
