Putnam Voc Volleyball Comes Back to Catch Taconic

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Taconic Thunder took the first set, 28-26, but Putnam Vocational pulled out the next three sets by close margins to take the win on Wednesday night.

 

Janayah Jones led Taconic with nine kills and recorded three blocks in the 26-28, 25-18, 25-20, 25-22 defeat.

 

“Natalia Dos Santos earned four kills in the first set filling in as an outside hitter before returning to being libero for the final three sets,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said.

 

Dos Santos finished with 27 digs and an assist to go with five kills.

 

Navaeh Williams pulled up 12 digs while and collected 11 assists, seven kills and five aces.

 

Taconic (5-4) hosts Pittsfield on Friday.
