Wahconah Girls Grab Tourney Title

BENNINGTON, Vt. -- Sage Howes stopped 11 shots Saturday to backstop the Wahconah girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over Burr & Burton in the championship game of the Patriot Classic at Mount Anthony Union High School.

 

Wahconah's win snapped a four-year winning streak for the Bulldogs in the finals of the tournament.

 

Noelle Furlong and Chloe Accardi each scored a goal, and Morgan Marauszwski had an assist.

 

Wahconah (2-1) hosts West Springfield on Saturday.
